Nicole Lantz is Summit Daily’s part-time copy editor. She assists the editors in preparing and proofing the pages that are sent to press.
Nicole is a military kid who criss-crossed the country before landing in New York City, where she completed the Columbia Publishing Course at the Columbia Journalism School. She then worked for HarperCollins Children’s Books as an assistant publicist, putting together media tours for authors. Nicole also achieved her Master of Fine Arts in creative writing for children at The New School in Manhattan.
Nicole loves the art of writing and editing — to make a written piece as clear and engaging as possible. She’s honored to work with the excellent writers and editors at Summit Daily. She believes a local newspaper is hugely important to a community’s well-being and was a devoted reader before she became the copy editor.
Nicole and her husband enjoy raising their four children in Summit County, where they can take them climbing, biking, hiking, paddling and skiing.
