Breckenridge Ski Resort brings back program that allows locals to access free summer activities

As Breckenridge Ski Resort enters the second half of its summer season, residents of Summit and Park County are invited to a morning a free resort activities on two select days.

The free morning of resort activities will take place from 9-10 a.m., which is an hour before the resort opens to the general public, on Aug. 8 and Aug. 22.

All participants will be allowed to enjoy summer activities at Peak 8 Base Camp and Alpine Camp free of charge. Activities include the signature Alpine slide, the Alpineer Challenge Course, the climbing wall and more. Additionally, the BreckConnect Gondola will open early at 8:30 a.m. both days of the program to allow easy access to Peak 8.



Attendees should plan to arrive at the base of Peak 8 to sign a waiver and get a wristband promptly at 9 a.m. but no later than 9:45 a.m. to participate. Participants under the age of 18 must have the waiver signed by a parent or guardian. After 10 a.m., all guests will be directed to the ticket window to purchase additional activities. 

Breckenridge requires fully enclosed shoes for all activities, meaning both heels and toes must be covered. No Crocs or Chacos are allowed.
