Celebrate the Beat to host tennis tournament on Sept. 6
As Celebrate the Beat celebrates 25 years, the organization is also commemorating its inaugural year in Summit County.
In its first year in the community, Celebrate the Beat — an organization empowering kids through the power of dance — vowed to bring its in-school dance and music programs to every Summit County elementary and middle school within the next two to three years.
Celebrate the Beat will work to expand its reach in Summit County by hosting the first-annual Tennis Round Robin Social on Sept. 6 at Carter Park in Breckenridge. The day will begin with the Rhythm & Rackets program from 8:30 to 10 a.m. which includes a tennis clinic and dance classes as well as breakfast.
Adult players can join the mixed-doubles tournament, while community members can enjoy the evening social. The social event will feature dinner, live music, student performances and a silent auction.

Summit Daily is embarking on a multiyear project to digitize its archives going back to 1989 and make them available to the public in partnership with the Colorado Historic Newspapers Collection. The full project is expected to cost about $165,000. All donations made in 2023 will go directly toward this project.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference.
