Copper Mountain Resort to host Locals’ Appreciation Week

Copper Mountain Resort is showing its gratitude for the Summit County community by offering a Locals’ Appreciation Week from Monday, Aug. 18, through Friday, Aug. 22.
Serving as a thank you to Summit County residents before the summer season comes to an end, the weeklong celebration offers exclusive discounts for Copper’s summer activities.
During the week, Summit County locals can enjoy free scenic chairlift rides on the American Eagle lift and mountain bikers can unlock access to the resort’s network of lift-serviced, downhill mountain biking trails for $25 a day.
Additionally, families can take advantage of $25 individual activity day passes or $75 family day passes for families of four. The day passes provide access to Copper’s village attractions which includes one ride on the Rocky Mountain Coaster, one ride on the go-karts, three uses of the bungee trampoline, unlimited runs through the Wrecktangle obstacle course and unlimited uses on the bumper boats.
Copper will also be offering a discount on food throughout the week via its Kids Eat Free promotion. Children 12 and under can eat for free with the purchase of an adult entree at Downhill Dukes, Sawmill Pizza and Taphouse, Ten Mile Tavern and JJ’s Rocky Mountain Tavern.
Discounted tickets and passes can be purchased in-person at guest services or online during Locals’ Appreciation Week. Tickets for Locals’ Appreciation Week cannot be purchased in advance.
Summer activities will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the week. Bike haul and scenic chairlift access on the American Eagle lift will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day with extended hours until 5:30 p.m. on Thursday for Copper’s weekly Après at Aerie event.
