Father Dyer United Methodist Church offering inside look into the life of John Lewis Dyer

On Sunday, July 13, Father Dyer United Methodist Church in Breckenridge will be completing its project “Building the Legacy.” As the finale for the project, Jack O’Neil will be offering a review of the life and ministry of Rev. John Lewis Dyer.
After focusing on Dyer’s “before Colorado” years on Sunday, July 6, O’Neil will present about his years in Colorado on Sunday, July 13.
The following weekend, on Saturday, July 19 and Sunday, July 20, the church we will host two days of festivities including a parking-lot party, live music, church tours and a dedication day.
The parking-lot party will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday with the live music beginning at 10:30 a.m. Food will served at the party and will include hotdogs, sandwiches, chips, cookies and drinks. The church tours will begin every half-hour starting at 10:15 a.m.
On the dedication day on Sunday, July 20, a church service will begin at 9 a.m. After the service from Bishop Kristin Stoneking of the Mountain Sky Conference, a time capsule will be installed at 10:30 a.m. At 11 a.m, pancakes, sausage, quiche and fruit will be served.
Father Dyer United Methodist Church is located at 310 Wellington Road in Breckenridge.
