It is no secret that Breckenridge is a hotbed of activity throughout the ski and ride season.
With visitors from across the country and around the world flocking to the historic mining town to carve turns down one of Breckenridge Ski Resort’s five iconic peaks, people are often hard pressed to find places to stay or eat throughout the winter months.
While the winter is undoubtedly one of the most busiest time of year in Summit County, Breckenridge also draws a significant crowd during the summer months — thanks in large part to its vibrant lineup of festivals.
Taking place throughout the downtown core of Breckenridge, Rocky Mountain Events serves as the hosts of four major festivals throughout the short, yet busy, summer season in Summit County. After a successful Breckenridge Agave Festival last month, Rocky Mountain Events is gearing up for the widely loved Breckenridge Food and Wine Festival, which will take place from Friday, July 25, through Sunday, July 27.
This year, guests will have several experiences to indulge in throughout the duration of the festival. On Friday night, attendees can partake in a VIP wine pairing dinner at the Sauce on the Maggie at the base of Breckenridge Ski Resort’s Peak 9.
Certified sommelier Jeff Tufford will be in attendance at the VIP wine pairing dinner, guiding guests through each of the evening’s five courses. With over 30 years of experience in the wine and spirits industry, Tufford will begin the evening with a welcome cocktail featuring La Marca Prosecco and a select aperitivo spritz.
The dinner will then transition to the opening appetizer which will consist of a deviled egg paired with osetra caviar. The first course will include a pan-roasted Chilean bass with herbed scallop potato galette and blistered heirloom tomatoes. The plate will be served alongside a white wine named, “Massican Annia”.
After the first course, all attendees will receive four more courses with the major highlights being a Colorado bison short rib dish, a dark chocolate torte with Luxardo Cherry Rum jus and a glass of LMM “Gryphon” Cab Sauv.

After opening the festival with an elaborately-planned dinner, the Breckenridge Wine and Food Festival will offer a wide range of events throughout the day on Saturday.
Most notably, the festival will feature a village of wine, food, and vendors for attendees to explore throughout the day. Featuring top wineries from around the globe, guests will have the opportunity to sample more than 300 wines as well as food for a long list of vendors.
From Baked in Breck to Coloradough Bakery and Lazos Empanadas, those who attend the festival will not only get their fill of wines, but will be packed to the brim with a variety of food.
At 2 p.m. on Saturday, the festival will offer a grand wine tasting event, which will last through 6 p.m. While sipping wine, attendees can enjoy music from a local DJ, DJ DC, in The Village Plaza at Beaver Run.
As DJ DC performs his set, Spinphony will perform at the Main Street Station stage from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The female electric string quartet will blend classical, rock and pop music into their own unique arrangements.

The 2025 Breckenridge Food and Wine Festival will wrap up on Sunday morning with the Brunch and Vines event at Sauce on the Maggie. Similar to the wine pairing dinner, guests will be treated to a special dining experience with wine serving as the centerpiece of the meal.
For those wanting to partake in the entirety of the festival’s events, an all-access pass can be purchased for $431.34 each. The ticket will give guests access to the wine pairing dinner on Friday night, VIP event access on Saturday and Sunday brunch. The festival also offers single event passes for those who only want to attend a select meal/offering.

Following the Breckenridge Food and Wine Festival, Rocky Mountain Events will prepare for its third festival of the season — Breckenridge Hogfest Bacon and Bourbon. The festival is slated for Aug. 22-24.
