The Frisco Adventure Park has announced that it will be hosting a ribbon cutting for a new intermediate downhill trail at the Peninsula Recreation Area.

The celebration will take place at the start of the new Wildhack Trail on Saturday, Aug. 30, at 10 a.m. The community is invited to bike the new section of trail by parking at a trailhead and riding the Excelsior Trail to the intersection with the Buzz Saw Trail.

The new trail was recently completed by the trails crew with the town of Frisco and the project’s contractor, McGill Trails LLC. The half-mile trail segment includes a wooden bridge crossing over Eureka Patch Trail and is open to downhill bikers only.
