Frisco resident and international concert pianist Peter Simon will be performing his annual piano concert at Colorado Mountain College in Breckenridge on Sunday, Aug. 3. The one-hour concert will begin at 4 p.m. in the Finkel Auditorium.
Throughout the concert, guests will be treated to “Souvenir of Puerto Rico” by American composer Louis Gottschalk, “Polygons” by Mexican composer Carlos Chavez, as well as the first piece that Johannes Brahms ever published: a four-movement piano Sonata that he composed when he was just 20 years old.
Simon’s final selection will be the fiery “Hungarian Dance No. 12” from Brahms.
Tickets can be purchased at the door. The cost of admission is $20 for adults and $10 for children.
