Summit Republicans to host town hall with Rep. McCluskie, Sen. Rankin on Friday, April 12

Summit County Republicas are sponsoring a town hall meeting with Rep. Julie McCluskie (D-Dillon) and state Sen. Bob Rankin (R-Carbondale) on Friday, April 12 from 5–7 p.m. at the Summit County Community and Senior Center, located at 83 Nancy’s Place in Frisco.

McCluskie began her first term as house representative for district 61 in January after winning the seat this past November. McCluskie is the former communications director for Summit School District, and has focused her agenda in her first three months on health care and education. She currently serves on the house appropriations, education, and rural affairs and agriculture committees.

Rankin started his tenure in state senate in January after being appointed by his party to replace his predecessor, Randy Baumgardner. Rankin, who serves on the senate appropriations and joint budget committees, has also made lowering health care premiums a priority, alongside education initiatives such as the READ act.
