On Wednesday, Sept. 10, Loveland Ski Area announced it has reached another milestone in the construction of its new Lift 7 chair.

Located at Loveland Valley, the haul rope for Lift 7 was spliced on Wednesday — a major step that brings the project closer to completion.

This upcoming winter season, Lift 7 will be upgraded from a double chair to a fixed-grip chair. The upgrade is expected to increase uphill capacity, and the new chair will be much wider than a standard triple chair, offering families and first-time skiers more comfort and space to learn.

The construction project also includes upgrades to the Zig-Zag trail, which will be designed to improve flow and the progression of all ability levels.
