From: San Diego, Ca.The Players: Chris Pollock, aka Father time, on drums and sound engineer, Michael McBride on bass, harmonies and management and Eli Lieberman on lead guitar, lead vocals, producer and management.Musical style/influences: Roots-infused power groove is aggressive reggae and hard rock. Influenced by Bob Marley, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pantera, System of a Down, 311, Primus, Incubus, Steel Pulse.Currently: Strive Roots is starting a college radio campaign sponsored by Mountain Dew to promote their upcoming college tour, mostly focused on the West Coast.

From: Placer ValleyThe Players: Steve Romero on sax and flute, Cam on drums, and composer Dale Allen Robertson plays acoustic guitar piano and sings.Musical style/influences: Jazz or variety some country music as well as rock n roll.Currently: Robertson is working in his home recording studio.

From: Albuquerque, N.M.The Players: Todd Tijerina on vocals and guitar, Marco Tope on bass and Bjorn Hamre on drums.Musical style/influences: Original cutting edge blues-rock. Influences include BB King, Albert King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Robert Cray, Hendrix, Wes Montgomery, Bramhall II, Prince, Meters, Clapton, Bruce Cockburn.Currently: Touring the Southwest playing festivals, clubs, private parties and theaters.

Colorado SpringsThe Players: Jon Bross on upright bass and vocals, David Jeffrey on mandolin, guitar and vocals and Shannon Carr on banjo, guitar and vocals.Musical style/influences: Fusion of traditional bluegrass and fired-up classics. Influences can be heard through renditions of classics by Jimi Hendrix, Tony Rice, Bob Dylan, Del McCoury and Johnny Cash among others.Currently: Performing three nights a week throughout the state at various venues, festivals and corporate events (when not at their day jobs).

From: Moab, UtahThe Players: David Mealey on bass and vocals, Jasper Groff on guitar and vocals, Jon Olschewski on guitar and vocals and Ed Stone on drums and vocalsMusical style/influences: A performance of jumpin funk, jazzy reggae, deep rootsy blues and Latin country rock.Currently: Playing five nights a week along with six to seven free shows in Moab every year to raise money for nonprofit organizations.

From: DenverThe Players: Eric McLennan on guitar and lead vocals, Justin Mesh on percussion, Bert Hamlin on bass and vocals and Justin Deutschmann on lead guitar.Musical style/influences: Americana-rock influenced by the great bands of the recent alt-country scene and the LPs of the 70s.Currently: Playing in and around Denver. EP release party soon to be scheduled.

From: Phoenix, Ariz.The Players: Idolize the MC on vocals, Rashenal on vocals, Jelts on vocals and DJ Reflekshin.Musical style/influences: Hip-hop. Influenced by hip-hop to jazz to funk to soul to classic rock and more. Inspiration and influence comes from anything and everything.Currently: Have toured through California, Texas, Nevada, New Mexico and are currently finishing up some projects and are planning more tours later in the year.

From: Fort CollinsThe Players: Matt Thornton on vocals and guitar, P-Mann on vocals and guitar, Darren Radach on vocals, mandolin and accordion, Ben Prytherch on bass and John Motley on drums. Musical style/influences: Rock n roll with a country soul. Influences range from Kris Kristofferson to Mother Hips to VietNam to Jack White to Waylon, S.R.V., Wilco, The Clash, Cash.Currently: Playing in Colorado, Wyoming and Utah.

From: Colorado SpringsThe Players: Larry Neuhalfen on vocals, Ed Wrany on guitar and vocals, Joe YZ on bass and vocals and Scott Gaster on drums and vocals.Musical style/influences: Wide range of influences from The Smashing Pumpkins and Metallica to Tool and Nickelback. Currently: Anticipating the release of their first album and a North American tour is in the works. Also writing the follow-up album. Bodycast recently headed up Operation I-Rockin Freedom, which distributed thousands of CDs of unsigned artist to the troops in Iraq.

From: Los Angeles, Calif.The Players: Andre Comeau on vocals, guitars, harmonica and banjo, Sabrina Taylor on vocals, Randy Morris on bass and vocals and Jon Mesh on mandolin. Musical style/influences: Acoustic indie-folk band, traditional bluegrass instrumentation with an emphasis on lyrics, melody and pop-oriented songs. Influences include Bob Dylan, Beatles, Alison Krauss & Union Station, Tony Rice, Elliott Smith, Hank Williams, Willie Nelson, Little Richard and Elvis. Currently: Touring mostly in and around Southern California.

From: CanadaThe Players: Peter Saps Sapienza on vocals, Kevin Mieszczyk on bass, Robert Fazio on guitar, Peter Taza Tzaferis on drums and Vik Fakoury on guitar.Musical style/influences: Rock metal with high-powered beats and mellow dramatic vocal flair.Currently: Touring the States and the UK.

From: MinturnThe Players: Jeff Armistead on keyboards and vocals, Cristian Basso on bass and vocals, Scott Kabel on guitar and lead vocals and Brian Loftus on drums and vocals.Musical style/influences: Funk rock. Influenced by The Meters, Pink Floyd, Frank Zappa, Papa Grows Funk, Plastikman and Derrick May and Baba Tunde Olatunji.Currently: Recently returned from their sixth tour to New Orleans for Jazz Fest. They also recorded new music while in New Orleans capturing tracks with friends Eric Lindell, June Yamagishi, John Grow, and Leo Nocentelli. Playing approximately 100 shows per year.

From: Castle RockThe Players: Levi Dean on mandolin, guitar and fiddle, Amanda Dean on guitar, keys and spoons and Charlie ONeal on percussionMusical style/influences: Acoustic style that draws heavily on folk, roots and bluegrass.Currently: Recording their second album, which will be released in Denver in July. Touring the East Coast for the month of August.

From: Colorado SpringsThe Players: Jonny Nelson on lead vocals and lead guitar, Craig Tomaninni on drums and Parker Hise on bass and piano.Musical style/influences: Original modern rock music. Influences include the Foo Fighters, Sublime, Sabbath, Zeppelin, The Who and all the other greats. (ICP and Emenem too …)Currently: Touring all of Colorado this summer before heading to Nevada, California, Oregon, Washington and Utah.

From: DenverThe Players: Dan Levin on vocals, Devon Kurzweil on guitar and vocals, Will Greer on bass and vocals, Josh Kayser on drums and percussion. Keys and sax added from time to time.Musical style/influences: Largely funk-based with overtones of jazz, rock and reggae. The biggest overall group influences tend to be along the jazz/jam boundaries including Soulive, Galactic, Karl Denson, Groove Collective and even Maroon 5.Currently: Performing around the Front Range and mountain regions about three to four times a month. In the summer, more outdoor shows and festivals.

From: DenverThe Players: Ben Van Horne on guitar and lead vocals, Brandon Grange on drums and Jesse Darrow on bass and backup vocals.Musical style/influences: Alternative rock. Rock-based with a funky element and small areas of improvisation. Influences range from old favorites like Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix and Pink Floyd to newer innovative bands like Umphreys McGee, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Soulive and Dave Mathews Band.Currently: Playing two to three times a a month in the Denver/Boulder area.

Not many styles we havent touched on. Currently: Touring around Denver.

From: BoulderThe Players: Phil Lewis on bass, Tony Lewis on drums and vocals and Pete Lewis on guitar and vocals.Musical style/influences: Rock. Influences range from JJ Cale, Les Claypool, Traffic, Dire Straits, Vandals, Doors, Beatles, Led Zeppelin.Currently: Touring the Front Range, Midwest and West Coast.

From: Kansas City, Mo.The Players: Joseph Dillman on drums and percussion, Ryan Donohue on saxophone, Charlie Fitzpatrick on keyboards, Matt Leigh on bass and Shawn Strickland on guitar.Musical style/influences: Contemporary jazz group mixing elements of progressive rock, new age and fusion. Key influences are Spyro Gyra, Fourplay, Turning Point, Liquid Tension Experiment, Toto and the John Tesh Project.Currently: Playing in the Kansas City area.

From: BoulderThe Players: Satyen Thaker on guitar strings, guitar pedals and vocals, Derek Turner on keys and vocals and Kevin Reitz on drums. Musical style/influences: Classical Latino pop, funk progressive rock. Influences include MMW, Scofield, Flaming Lips, Phish, Ween.Currently: Playing locally throughout Boulder, Denver and the mountain regions.
