The fatal car crash that happened Friday, April 19, on Berthoud Pass has claimed a second victim.

The Clear Creek Coroner confirmed that Judy Servis recently died and that her husband, Ronald Servis, was the victim who died at the scene on April 19. Both were 75 years old.

The car accident happened near milepost 251 on U.S. Highway 40 and involved a Toyota Highlander and a Nissan Rogue. The victims were traveling in the Rogue, and Judy was driving. The driver of the Highlander left their lane and impacted the front of the vehicle with the Rogue, according to Colorado State Trooper Gabriel Moltrer.

All three people were wearing their seatbelts when the accident occured, but Judy was ejected from the vehicle. The Rogue “came to final rest on their wheels on the roadway,” Moltrer said.

The driver of the Highlander has only been identified as a 19-year-old male from Centennial. He was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

An email from Colorado State Patrol stated that Judy and Ronald were from Granby, but the Colorado Bar Association has Ronald’s law firm address listed in Lakewood. Sky-Hi News received several calls from residents saying the couple was active with the local American Legion Post in Granby.

Alcohol, substances and speed are not suspected factors. This is an ongoing investigation.
