Silverthorne to celebrate August with community block party
The town of Silverthorne is celebrating August with a community block party downtown.
Stretching from Bluebird Market to Angry James and the Art Spot Silverthorne Makerspace, the August First Friday celebration will take place on Friday, Aug. 1, from 4:30-8:30 p.m.
At the event, community members can enjoy live music from local bands performing across five stages. Additionally, more than 30 local artists will showcase their work, while others create mini murals live throughout the block party. The murals will then be displayed around town after the event.
In addition to music and art, attendees are invited to bring their own t-shirts for free screen printing at the Art Spot.
Food will be available for purchase from Mountain Melt, Kúcu Tequila Bistro and Bluebird Market.
During the First Friday event, patrons may purchase alcoholic beverages from participating businesses and walk around freely within the event boundary with their beverage. Alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase at Angry James Brewery, Kúcu Tequila Bistro, Upslope Brewery at Bluebird Market and The PlayGarten.
Fourth Street will be closed between Colorado Highway 9 and Adams Avenue for the duration of the event.
Community members are reminded to take the free Summit Stage to the event.
