The Silverthorne events committee is seeking local filmmakers to show their work during the October First Friday film festival on Friday, Oct. 3, at the Silverthorne Pavilion.

Whether they are seasoned experts or just beginning their creative journey, local filmmakers are encouraged to submit their work for consideration. The event is meant to serve as an opportunity for artists to showcase their films to the community while also connecting with other creatives and engaging with an audience.

All films must be submitted for review by Sept. 19.

Any submitted film should be three to five minutes long and have a theme related to Silverthorne, Summit County or life in the mountains. Submitted work may center around of a variety of subjects, including action sports, fiction, nature, music and more.

All films shown during First Friday will be eligible to win a people’s choice award of $300. Votes will be tallied at the event and the prize will be awarded at the end of the First Friday event.
