Smart Bellies plans event to raise funds for supplying food to families in need of assistance

Smart Bellies will be hosting an event to fundraise on Sept. 5 at 5 p.m. at 10 Mile Music Hall.

Seven years ago, Smart Bellies founders, Margaret Sheehe and Sarah Schmidt, heard that there may be some Summit County students in need of meals over the weekend. From that moment, Smart Bellies was born and has since blossomed into having a committed group of volunteers to fill bags with food each week.

Entry into Smart Bellies’ birthday celebration will cost $60 per tickets and will include the chance to play games, dance and have food. All proceeds form the event will help Smart Bellies in its mission to keep fueling students in Summit and Lake Counties.
