On Tuesday, Oct. 14, the Summit High School girls volleyball team will be hosting a “Dig Pink” game.
The volleyball program will be hosting Rifle High School for a series of three games ranging from the C-team to the varsity level. The C-team and junior-varsity matches will begin at 4:30 p.m., with the varsity game taking place at 6 p.m.
The fundraising event will help the Summit volleyball team raise money and awareness for the Side-Out Foundation, which funds research, free testing and analysis for patients with metastatic breast cancer.
The Summit County community is invited to come out to the game and to wear pink. In addition to competitive volleyball, there will be fun games and a bake sale. As of Tuesday, Oct. 7, the Summit girls volleyball varsity team was on a three-game winning streak, including a 3-0 win over Rifle on Thursday, Oct. 2.
