From July 26 through Aug. 10, 20 kids from Summit County represented the community at the Middle Park Fair and Rodeo in Kremmling.

The Middle Park Fair and Rodeo includes Summit County and provides a unique opportunity for young people to showcase their hard work, skills and dedication outside of the “traditional” athletic endeavors, according to a Summit CSU Extension news release. The group of Summit County participants competed in the horse showmanship, rabbits, poultry and a variety of general project categories.

Jordan Biles, 15, earned reserve champion in clothing construction, qualifying her project for the Colorado State Fair in Pueblo. Additionally, Josh Artherholt, 10, swept the rabbit competition, earning grand champion, reserve champion and best overall.

The accomplishments highlight the talent, commitment and agricultural traditions that continue to thrive in Summit County.
