It is not every day that you get a chance to meet your heroes. On Monday, Nov. 24, elementary school students at several Summit County schools got a chance to meet members of the U.S. Ski Team ahead of the Stifel Copper Cup later this week.
The athletes visited both Dillon Valley Elementary School and Summit Cove Elementary School during the day on Monday with the event being organized by Team Summit. During the visit, students got a chance to ask the athletes questions. Some of the question included: “How fast they have ever skied?”, “Do they like to ski powder when they are not racing?” and “What are their favorite ski resort is in Summit County?”
The Stifel Copper Cup will take place from Thursday, Nov. 27, through Sunday, Nov. 30. For a full schedule of events, visit CopperColorado.com.
