As the winter season comes to an end, Woodward Copper is gearing up from another summer on snow.

Offering the longest on-snow summer camp in the state, Woodward Copper provides skiers and riders with the opportunity to train in a terrain park while still soaking up the summer sun. Woodward’s on-mountain area holds enough snow to support a four acre, fully built-out terrain park complete with jumps, rails, jibs and a surface lift — allowing campers to rack up laps from May through August.

New this season, campers can opt to swap their skis for handlebars with the launch of a mountain bike camp later in the summer. The camp will take place during weeks eight, nine and 10 of the summer season and is designed for cyclists ages 7 to 17.

The overnight camp mirrors the structure of the on-snow program and gives campers the chance to learn from expert coaches, enjoy summer activities and access the Woodward Barn. Each day will be spent riding Copper’s downhill trails, building skills and confidence.

Additionally, Woodward Copper will be expanding its adult ski and snowboard camp to two weeks, giving skiers and riders ages 18 and up more opportunity to progress their skills on the snow. The first adult camp will run from May 25-30 with a second session taking place August 10-15.

Like in previous years, Woodward will also continue to offer 10 weeks of on-snow youth camps between June and August for skiers and riders ages 7 to 17.

Outside of Woodward’s offerings of summer camps, a summer hike park will once again be located in Center Village starting in June. Open Friday through Sunday beginning June 6 and ending on Sept. 7, conditions dependent, the park gives skiers and riders a chance to hike a collection of rail features for $25 a day.

Guests can also purchase a hike park season pass for $199. Copper will host two rail jam events on July 5 and Sept. 5 where athletes can come out and compete in the heat of the summer.

The Woodward Copper Barn will also be open for drop-in sessions Friday through Sunday throughout the summer, starting on June 6.
