Letter to the editor: Wrapped bus windows show disrespect to passengers
Denver
People from all over the United States and world travel to Summit County to enjoy recreational activities and views of majestic mountains and other scenery.
I recently was a passenger on a Summit Stage bus from Frisco to Copper Mountain. It was difficult to enjoy the views as the bus traveled through Tenmile Canyon. The side windows were covered with advertising bus wrap. The Town of Breckenridge also operates buses with wrapped windows.
Bus wrap results in 56% of a window surface being opaque and 44% see through. The window wrap obscured and distorted my view of the beautiful scenery.
Bus wrap brings in some money from the advertisers whose ads are featured on the buses. The wrap also results in a poor experience for those inside the bus.
I suggest that Summit Stage and Breckenridge develop a policy that prohibits wrapped bus windows.
