On Tuesday, Dec. 16, the Friends of the Dillon Ranger District will officially kick off its annual Adventure Speaker Series at Highside Brewing in Frisco.
The first speaker of the series will be Julian Carr, who is a renowned big mountain skier. Carr plans to center his talk on how he gets in the right mindset to jump off massive cliffs in the backcountry. Registration is free to anyone who wants to attend. The talk will begin promptly at 6 p.m.
The series will take place monthly throughout the rest of the winter with other speakers and topics including Colorado Avalanche Information Center avalanche forecasting, backcountry ski and splitboard 101 presented by Colorado Adventure Guides and a presentation by Summit Huts.
