Hacienda Real reopens a month after ICE operation

A Facebook post from Hacienda Real on Monday, Oct. 13, stated the Frisco Mexican restaurant would reopen Thursday, Oct. 16.
The business temporarily closed in September after U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement executed a search warrant Sept. 16 at the property. In a Sept. 16 Facebook post, the restaurant claimed ICE agents had taken its computers, forcing it to temporarily close.
On Oct. 13, the restaurant posted that it would reopen at 11 a.m. on Oct. 16.
The ICE activity that closed the restaurant resulted in the detainment of two Hacienda Real workers, according to Voces Unidas. In the Sept. 16 federal immigration enforcement operations, agents also took evidence from a home in Dillon Valley.
Public records show the home and Hacienda Real’s storefront are both owned by the same company, Ayutla LLC. The company is registered in Colorado state records to Luis Flores, the owner of Hacienda Real.
