Breck skatepark

Breckenridge will be expanding the popular Kingdom Park skatepark and will be constructing a new pavilion around the Kingdom Park baseball fields. The skatepark expansion is expected to add an additional 12,500 square feet of area to the existing park, pushing its skate-able area to 31,500 square feet. The project is expected to cost the town $1.5 million.

Frisco concerts

On June 12, Rock the Dock on the Frisco Bay Marina’s Lighthouse Lawn includes a free concert with HeartByrne and Diggin Dirt, free lawn games and food vendors. A few weeks later, Frisco will host its Fourth of July celebration with music from Magic Beans and Orgone. Frisco will also host its Concerts in the Park series throughout the summer season. The wildfire season is kicking in Summit County with low danger. To keep up to date with the current fire danger level, check page 2 of the Summit Daily News as well as the fire danger signs posted throughout Summit County.

Events

  • May 30: Free compost pickup is from 9 a.m. to noon at Summit County Community & Senior Center, the public baseball basketball court in Dillon and near CMC in Breckenridge.
  • May 31: Community recycling day is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Summit Stage Bus Barn.
  • May 31: Breckenridge town cleanup day is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Riverwalk Center.
