Following a few days of warmer temperatures, Loveland Ski Area has resumed snowmaking operations ahead of the start of the 2025-26 ski and ride season.
Temperatures are expected to stay cold for the next few days, allowing the ski area’s snowmaking crew to fire up the guns whenever conditions allow.
On top of cold temperatures, Loveland Ski Area saw 5 inches of natural snowfall on Monday night, Oct. 27. The snowfall is expected to aid Loveland as it prepares to spin lifts for the first time this season.
Loveland does not currently have an opening day to share, but the ski area is getting closer to welcoming guests back to the mountain. Last season, Loveland opened on Nov. 9. When Loveland opens for the season, skiers and riders can expect nearly 1,000 vertical feet of top-to-bottom turns from the top of Chet’s Dream to the base.
