A section of Ski Hill Road originally closed June 1 for “emergency” roadwork will likely remain closed through next week, according to Summit County government communications director Adrienne Saia Isaac.

The county intended the section, stretching from Zeppelin Way to the Peaks Trailhead, to reopen June 4, but last week extended it, saying it could stay closed through the week of June 8. In an email June 9, Isaac wrote that the construction crew found more drainage issues that need to be addressed.

Isaac thanked the neighboring residents for their patience and for respecting the closure.
