Holiday revelers can purchase the permits and find maps of areas where cutting is allowed online at Recreation.gov and the White River National Forest website

Fourth graders that have an Every Kid Outdoors pass are eligible for a free Christmas tree permit, which can be redeemed by entering the pass or voucher number while checking out online.

Permits are also available at the Dillon Ranger District office in Silverthorne, as well as the district offices in Meeker, Minturn and Rifle.
